“Press Jaws & Rings Compatibility Guide: Fit Milwaukee, RIDGID & DEWALT Tools”

Press Jaws & Rings Compatibility Guide

You bought the press tool. Now the question that actually costs money: which jaws and rings fit it? Get this wrong and you’re shipping a $90 jaw back or, worse, forcing a fit that fails under pressure.

This guide covers ZUPPER’s jaw and ring ecosystem and where it lines up with the big names — Milwaukee M18 FORCE LOGIC, RIDGID RP, and DEWALT DCE200.

Standard (32 kN) vs Compact (24 kN)

Press tools come in two force classes, and jaws are not cross-class compatible:

  • Standard press tools (~32 kN / 7,200 lbs) — drive jaws and rings up to 2″ on copper, stainless, and carbon steel.
  • Compact press tools (~24 kN / 5,400 lbs) — lighter, for 1/4″–1 1/8″ HVAC and ACR copper work.

Always match jaw class to your tool’s rated force.

Cross-Brand Compatibility

ZUPPER standard jaws and rings are compatible with major US-brand 32 kN tools, including:

  • Milwaukee M18 FORCE LOGIC (DCE-class presses)
  • RIDGID RP 340 / 350 / 351
  • DEWALT DCE200
  • ZUPPER’s own PZ-3240, PZ-1550, EB-1550

Compact jaws fit ZUPPER and US-brand 24 kN compact tools.

Rule of thumb: same force class + same fitting standard = compatible. When in doubt, check the kN rating stamped on your tool.

How to Choose

1. Know your pipe. Copper/Stainless → ProPress jaws/rings. Black iron → MegaPress. ACR/HVAC copper → RLS jaws.

2. Know your size range. Don’t buy a 1/2″–1″ set if you regularly run 2″ drops.

3. Know your tool class. 32 kN or 24 kN — this decides everything.

FAQ

Will ZUPPER MegaPress jaws fit my Milwaukee? Yes — 32-VMP jaws are built for 32 kN standard tools including M18 FORCE LOGIC.

Can compact jaws go on a standard tool? No. The force class must match or the joint won’t seat correctly.
